ARP - Associated Reserve Planners provides quality training for reserve professionals. The 2021 conference schedule included a variety of presentations. ARP’s goal is to help reserve professionals improve their skills to provide their best services for their association clients. ARP education addresses a wide variety of reserve study topics. Our training on the reserve study process is unequaled - because a complete understanding of the process is the foundation of reserve studies - all technical training rests on this foundation. The reserve study process involves multiple disciplines and it is rare for reserve professionals to have high level skills in all areas.
Our policy is that all reserve professionals must pay for conference continuing education. Community association industry stakeholders who are not reserve preparers may view videos for free. Just email us at

Highrise Reserve Studies
|
Andy Henley Gary Porter, RS, FMP, RRC, CPA |
High rise reserve studies are a class of properties that require far more extensive knowledge of the reserve professional due to the many unique mechanical systems that are an integral part of high-rise buildings. This course looks at all of the primary mechanical systems of high-rise buildings and is a basic course designed to inform reserve preparers of the systems they are likely to encounter and on which they must be knowledgeable on order to perform their analysis. Each of these mechanical systems is worthy of a multi-hour course on their own, and ARP is committed to presenting those courses in the future. Andy Henley is vice president of Pro Tec Building Services which provides maintenance services for more than 700 associations. Pro Tec is recognized as the leading maintenance service provider in the community association industry. Gary Porter is a reserve professional who has performed numerous high rise reserve studies. |

Country Club Reserve Studies
|
Gary Porter, RS, FMP, RRC, CPA
|
This presentation focuses on the unique requirements of golf courses. While recognizing that clubhouses and other recreational facilities such as sports courts could be stand-alone presentations themselves regarding country club operations, this course focuses on the most costly and least understood aspect of operations, the golf course. This presentation looks at the different types or "classes" of golf courses, the various irrigation sources, and discusses construction details of bunkers, greens, and tee boxes. Mr. Porter has performed numerous golf course reserve studies of all types, from the "primitive" courses to one of the most highly regarded country clubs in the U.S. rated as a "top ten" country club. |
